Ansa®
Personalized Deep
Brain Stimulation

Continuous monitoring and continuous care for mental health and movement disorders

Integrated with the Paradromics BCI platform, the Ansa Personalized Deep Brain Stimulation (pDBS) Product Family provides closed-loop neuromodulation for mental health and movement disorders. Unlike available closed-loop DBS systems that rely on low-resolution signals from deep brain probes, Ansa pDBS captures rich cortical brain data at high resolution. AI-driven, indication-specific apps decode this data to detect symptom onset and adapt stimulation in real time.

NEUROTHERAPY TREATMENT OPTIONS

From ineffective treatment to personalized relief

Pharmaceuticals and therapy remain the standard of care. Too often current treatments fall short, leaving many patients struggling with treatment-resistant conditions like depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

Ansa pDBS for Mental Health creates a new paradigm: continuous brain-state monitoring that responsively adjusts stimulation to brain structures known to alleviate symptoms or prevent symptom onset.

Ansa pDBS for mental health

Closed-loop neuromodulation that responds instantly to brain-state data.

01

Brain interface components

  • Cortical Modules, each with about 1000 micro-electrodes thinner than a hair, capture high-resolution brain activity.
  • DBS Leads with 8 neurostimulating channels target specific brain areas known to relieve symptoms.

From constant stimulation to intelligent response

Conventionally, DBS for movement disorders like essential tremor and Parkinson’s disease delivers constant stimulation. Even the newer closed-loop systems rely on low-resolution signals from deep brain structures.

Ansa pDBS for Movement Disorders introduces a new paradigm: continuous motor-state monitoring that detects tremors before they start and dynamically stabilizes movement.
